This is information regarding Massachusetts’ new law that addresses potential oil leaks from oil tanks. The law went into effect September 30, 2011, and homeowners have to upgrade their systems to prevent leaks from pipes and tanks.

How much is your house worth? Chances are, you consider the value to be worth more than what the current economy dictates. Why wouldn’t you? You know what you paid for your home and how much money you have put into it. You’ve seen your children play here and your family make lasting memories. Your house is worth so much more to you and for good reason. So how do you put a price tag on selling your house?
The decision to sell can be a difficult one. We can follow statistics and market trends to get a prediction on what the future has in store for the housing market. Some experts will tell you that housing prices will drop again next year.
For buyers, this means wait – or does it? Mortgage brokers will tell you that interest rates are at an all time low that is not likely to be seen again next year. In fact, there are rumors that the 20% down payment requirement is coming back. So that house that is for sale for $100,000 today, could be purchased with only $5,000 down and a low mortgage rate of 4.5% with monthly payments at approximately $668 (includes interest and taxes). That same house next year, might only be worth $90,000. But now you need 20% down. And interest rates are back up to 7%. Your payments would be approximately $665 and you just put down $18,000. All this waiting to save $3 on your monthly mortgage payment?
If you are considering selling your house now, you might need to purchase a new home too. Sell low, buy low. Can you afford to do it now? The first step may be to contact your lender and get some financial advice, preapproval, and information to guide you in this important decision. What does customer service mean to sellers and buyers dealing in real estate transactions? I have more than 25 years of customer service experience in restaurants, manufacturing, sales, etc. Regardless of the industry you work in, customer service is about placing value on your customer’s needs and developing lasting relationships with those people.
I take this approach to many areas of my life, not only as the person giving great customer service, but also as the customer receiving it. I have expectations that I want to meet and have met. Although, why in a world of advanced technology and fast paced living, is genuine customer service becoming a thing of the past? It often feels like people are too busy to put in that extra effort that many people crave.
I make this vow today: My real estate clients are more than just a ticket to a pay check. They are people with needs, who may be embarking on the biggest financial exchange of their lives, who may need guidance and sincerity. I vow to make EVERY client I work with feel special and get the attention to details they deserve. I will work hard behind the scenes to make sure my clients are not put through unnecessary stress.
